Sanchez Watt is pushing for a return to Leeds United's squad against leaders QPR at Elland Road on Saturday.
The Arsenal winger, who is on a season-long loan after spending the final month of last season at Elland Road, has been out since late October with a hamstring strain, and a shortage of reserve games has helped to delay his comeback.
However, he was a scorer in a behind-closed-doors friendly this week as Leeds defeated Newcastle 4-1, and he played the full 90 minutes.
A clause in his loan agreement means Watt is ineligible to play against Arsenal in next month's FA Cup third-round tie at the Emirates Stadium, but in the meantime he is keen to play his part as United look to consolidate their position in the npower Championship's top four.
Billy Paynter, Leigh Bromby and Davide Somma were also on the mark against the Magpies in a game which saw defender Ben Parker step up his fitness with a full 90-minute stint.
Manager Simon Grayson said: "We've got just about everybody available for selection, except Richard Naylor and Patrick Kisnorbo, while the thigh injury that caused Andy O'Brien to miss the win at Burnley isn't too serious one and we will see how he is at the weekend.
"A couple of months ago we had ten or 12 people out injured and we didn't have the depth we needed. Now we have players on the bench who can have a positive influence on games.
"If those players who are out of the team stay fit they've got a great chance of coming in because everyone is going to have a chance over the Christmas period.
"Strength in depth was a big reason for our success last season and it is one of the reasons we've been doing well in the last few weeks."
