Leeds returned from Norway still uncertain if Robert Snodgrass will be fit for the start of the season a week on Saturday.
The winger was injured in a bad tackle during United’s 3-1 win over SK Brann and the club will not know how long he will be out until the injury settles later this week.
Manager Simon Grayson said: “It was disappointing because it was a poor tackle and Snoddy has done extremely well for us during pre-season.
“It took a bit of the shine away from what was another good performance. We passed well, our movement was good and again we created and converted chances.
“It was another good work-out for us but it’s disappointing when you come away from a pre-season friendly with a player having been carried off.”
Leeds have also denied rumours that they are not going to renew the contract of striker Luciano Becchio, who scored two of the goals against Brann. His current deal has a year to go.
Chief executive Shaun Harvey said: “The stories are completely untrue. We are committed to keeping him at the club.”
