Gareth Evans scored twice as City rounded off their southern tour at Chelmsford City this afternoon on a winning note.
Evans gave them the lead from the penalty spot after Tom Adeyemi had been pulled down.
The striker then doubled the advantage with a spectacular volley from Lee Bullock's cross.
Adeyemi sealed a 3-0 win over the Blue Square South side by coolly lifting an angled shot over keeper James Pullen.
All the goals came in the first half before the game petered out after the break. But more importantly City came through without picking up any more injuries.
CITY: Saxton, Ramsden, L O'Brien, Bullock, Rehman, Oliver, Daley (Hunt 46), Adeyemi (J O'Brien 60), Evans (Simm 46), Neilson, Threlfall.
