As the build-up to the coming season begins to intensify there is a very busy night of friendly action tomorrow night, with six of the local semi-pro sides taking to the field.

Guiseley are making the short journey to Garforth Town for their third run-out.

With keeper Jon Worsnop recovering in hospital from an operation on his back following a motorcycle accident outside Nethermoor, Josh Mimms, son of former Blackburn Rovers, Spurs and York City shot-stopper Bobby, has been drafted in.

Mimms will be involved tomorrow night, while Warren Payton, who was at a wedding at the weekend, and striker Andy Bell, who has returned from holiday, could both be in line for a recall.

Farsley AFC will be playing their second ever fixture after breaking new ground at AFC Emley last midweek.

The Farsley club has been born out of the demise of Farsley Celtic and are gearing up for the coming campaign as a Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division outfit.

They took on Emley last week and tomorrow night they travel to the Doncaster area to take on Askern Villa.

Their first two opponents are both from the NCEL’s Division One, so manager Neil Parsley can get a feel of the league set-up they have been placed in.

Thackley will be one of Farsley’s divisional rivals this coming season and they have a home warm-up game against Lancashire outfit Haslingden tomorrow night.

Brighouse Town are also preparing for visitors from across the Pennines as Padiham call in at the Duel Seal Stadium.

Liversedge face a traditional pre-season meeting with Littletown as they travel to the Spen club. Eccleshill United, however, are at home as they host Kinsey Boys.
