Veteran Lee Crossland set Howden Clough on course for their first win in Group A of the Spen Valley League’s Sonder Heating Centenary Cup.

Crossland, 41, scored in the first half and Jamie Clarke doubled the advantage after the interval as injury-hit Clough won 2-0 at mid-table Marsh, with Lee Hepworth also having an outstanding game.

Youth 2000 edged out Wellington 4-3 in Group B with two goals in the last ten minutes after trailing 2-1 and 3-2.

A Ashiq, A Lakhi, A Nana and M Rajah provided the firepower in response to Richard McCann (2) and Joz Atkinson.

Sporting Armley thumped Bosnia 5-0 with Danny Goulden’s double supported by James Cowlam, Iain McBurne and Gareth Knight.

League action saw Ravensthorpe Rangers take over at the top of the Premier Division after beating Black Horse 3-0. All the goals came in the second half from Zah (2) and Fessi.

Rangers now head the section on goal difference from Bradford, who were held to a 3-3 draw at Jardys after leading 3-1 at the interval.

Gurdip Bhambro (2) and Stephen Royston netted for the visitors, with Johnny Beverley, Sam Elliott and Paul Barlow replying to earn a point.

Savile Town overwhelmed George Healey 6-2 as Hazi (3), Adda (2) and Luqi outscored Jack Spencer and Bob Smith.

Second-placed Quarry headed the Division One scoring with a 6-3 win at rock-bottom Black Bull, who led 3-2 at half-time through Joshua Walton (2) and Martin Stocks.

Inter Batley saw off Fairbank 5-0 as Mohammed Nasarka backed up four-goal Ramzan Mazher.

And Norfolk beat White Rose 3-1 with goals by Ilyas Lunat, Y Lunat and Ismail Lunat after trailing to an early Ryan Simmonds strike.
