Thackley could move up a place in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division on Saturday with a win at mid-table Long Eaton United.
The Reds are currently fourth, just two points behind third-placed Rainworth having played the same number of games.
In a twist of fate, Rainworth are at home to Liversedge this weekend.
