Bradford Dudley Hill gave notice to their National Conference League Division One promotion rivals that they are the team to beat by posting an impressive 42-8 success over table-toppers Saddleworth Rangers at Parry Lane.
Hill started off with an early try from forward Liam Jarvis, soon followed by a succession of further efforts from full back Lewis Evans, stand-off Josh Essex, together with a brace by hooker Nathan Kitson.
With a 28-4 interval scoreline, the Oldham side needed a miracle – but it was not forthcoming, with wingman Neil Wall touching down to add to his five conversions.
This left scrum half Danny Thomas and a second try from Essex to complete a healthy total in the plus column that could prove crucial in what is likely to be a very close finish to the championship crown.
