Guiseley will take a break from the rigours of chasing promotion tomorrow night when they turn their focus on to reaching a cup final.

The Lions host Barnoldswick Town in a West Riding County Cup semi-final.

While the pressure is off Guiseley in the race for promotion from the UniBond League Premier Division, it is very squarely on them in the cup.

They may have mounted a late bid and be the dark horses for promotion but they are the highest-ranking club left in the last four of the cup, so have been installed as firm favourites.

Strikers Adam Muller and Andy Bell failed fitness tests before Saturday’s 1-0 league victory at Hucknall Town.

Manager Steve Kittrick feels they will be in contention for tomorrow night’s squad but hinted at changes after so many games in quick succession.
