Guiseley are one of four promotion-chasers trying to make ground on UniBond Premier Division leaders Bradford Park Avenue this week.

Victory for the fourth-placed Lions at home to struggling Burscough tomorrow night would reduce the gap between themselves and their Horsfall rivals to four points, with Guiseley having a game in hand.

Second-placed Boston United host third-placed Retford United, who drew at home with Avenue on Saturday. And just to add to the mix, fifth-placed North Ferriby United visit Whitby Town on Wednesday night.

Guiseley spokesman Stuart Allen said: “It’s certainly very tight with rivals clashing and we still have Avenue to play home and away.

“We toiled at Nantwich Town at the weekend but got the result.

“There were no bad injuries at Nantwich but Chris Holland came off at half-time with a hamstring strain.

“He must be rated as a doubt but Steve (manager Kittrick) will have James Cotterill back after he cleared his suspension on Saturday.”

Liversedge have a home game in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division after a blank Saturday.

Sedge will be looking to get back into the top six with a win but they could also do neighbours Thackley a big favour if they beat second-placed Armthorpe Welfare.

Sedge boss Sean Regan said: “Armthorpe are a strong outfit and have been doing well but it will be nice for us to play them with a full squad and we are looking forward to it.”

In Division One leaders Brighouse Town travel to Teversal while basement club Eccleshill United host Grimsby Borough.
