Aldershot burst City's two-win bubble tonight after a disappointing display.
Defender Anthony Charles fired the only goal in the 54th minute after the Bantams had failed to clear their lines from a corner.
City, who were unchanged from Saturday, never did enough to threaten a third straight victory.
Their only effort on target was a header from James Hanson which keeper Stephen Henderson held at the second attempt.
That was one of few chances in a dour first half. But the home side lifted their game after the break.
Damian Spencer should have made it 2-0 but City almost levelled in stoppage time when Lee Bullock volleyed over.
