Just two Premier Division games survived the latest burst of bad weather to affect the West Riding County Amateur League and Bradford clubs were the beneficiaries in both.
Hard work on the Tyersal pitch during the morning ensured their match against Ardsley Celtic got the nod and a Terry Ryan hat-trick, backed up by Ben Kendall, earned a 4-3 home victory.
Campion were also hard at work on Saturday morning to avoid another midweek fixture as they share their Scotchman Road ground with Bradford League cricket side Manningham Mills, who take precedence after mid-April.
Title-chasing Marsden fell behind in the first minute to a Ben O’Melia goal and Campion went on to log a superb 4-1 victory.
The game was held up when a fall by Steve Barge resulted in a broken arm and Marsden equalised with an Andrew Allison penalty soon after this incident.
But the hosts regrouped and further goals followed from Joe Brown (2) and a last-minute Trinity Brown effort.
Salts, who narrowly missed out on promotion from Division One last season, suffered a blow to their latest challenge with a 3-1 home defeat against Heckmondwike Town.
Rob Hiscox (2) and Nathan Willoughby were on target for the visitors, with Graham Corbett reducing the arrears.
Second-placed Steeton boosted their hopes of going up with a 5-3 home win over Dudley Hill Rangers.
Lee Reilly’s hat-trick was supported by goals from Graham Holmes and Chris Smith, while Chris Gibbons, Sam Morton and Ryan Templeton replied.
Tyersal Reserves, whose game at Ventus-Yeadon Celtic was postponed, slipped into bottom position as Eastmoor climbed above them courtesy of a 3-2 win against Overthorpe.
Brendan Folan has scored almost half struggling Dudley Hill Athletic’s goals this season but although he was on the mark again, his side slipped up 3-2 at home to Division Two promotion contenders Westbrook YMCA.
Folan opened the scoring but the Leeds visitors moved ahead through Stephen Guilfoyle and Ian Craig and although Mark Roberts equalised, a last-gasp Craig strike denied Athletic a point.
Rawdon Old Boys remain just above the relegation places after losing 2-1 at Kirkburton Reserves.
