An extraordinary Sonder Heating Centenary Cup tie finished 6-6 between Wellington and Black Bull.
In was Bull’s first point in GROUP B of the Spen Valley League competition, with J Walton (3), M Barrett (2) and R Burton their scorers. Carl McCann’s hat-trick for Wellington was backed up by Tom Yarnold, Gary Foley and Chris Appleyard.
Table-toppers Jardys won 7-1 at Youth 2000 as Lee Speight’s treble led the way, supported by James Wightman (2), Judd Ledgard and James Elliott.
Another high-scoring encounter finished 6-4 in favour of Bosnia at Inter Batley, who had M Nasarka (2), A Nasarka and Z Dahi on target.
The match between Savile Town and fellow high-fliers Black Horse finished 2-2 after Savile had taken a two-goal lead through Imran Patel and Aron. A Asquith netted both replies, the first a penalty.
Match of the day in GROUP A finished honours even as Ravensthorpe, who are third, drew 1-1 at home to second-placed Bradford. Sooby’s early goal for the hosts was cancelled out by Gurpal Bhambra’s penalty.
Asif Iqbal fired a hat-trick for fourth-placed Fairbank, with Akif Waseem also on target, as they won 4-2 at George Healey, for whom Simon Moore scored one penalty but missed two others.
Howden Clough lost by the odd goal in five at home to Norfolk, who had Imran Farouk (2) and Nabeel Abbass on the mark.
Quarry beat White Rose 3-1 thanks to goals from Ashley McDaid, Rafal Saudak and Matthew Parkinson.
One league match in DIVISION ONE ended 4-2 in favour of hosts Sporting Armley against Marsh, with Gareth Knight, Alan Dix, Danny Goulden and James Cowlam on target for the winners.
