Mark McCammon came straight in to City's side - alongside James Hanson.
The on-loan Gillingham targetman has been brought in to ease the work load for Hanson. But Peter Taylor decided to field both of them against bottom club Darlington this afternoon.
Steve O'Leary made way for the new man, with Michael Flynn reverting to midfield after his effective attacking foray at Rochdale.
Omar Daley was back on the bench in place of Scott Neilson. And once again there was no Chris Brandon in the squad.
CITY: Glennon, Ramsden, Williams, Clarke, Threlfall, Evans, Flynn, Bullock, O'Brien, McCammon, Hanson. Subs: Daley, Thorne, Boulding, Bateson, Horne, O'Leary, McLaughlin.
