Guiseley have lost a mercurial forward to the full- time game after Lee Tuck was signed up by a pro club in Thailand.

Guiseley manager Steve Kittrick said: “He went out there for an extended trial, and it was an ideal time for him because it was their pre-season. I think it starts round about now, so Lee will have a chance to establish himself.

“It all came about because his mate plays out there and he took a DVD of Lee to show the club. They liked what they saw enough to invite Lee over and he impressed during his trial.

“They offered him a three-month contract and he accepted it. I don’t know what money is involved but I do know if a lad can play full-time, he will take that over a semi-pro career anytime.”

Guiseley will miss the nippy forward who has also had spells at Bradford Park Avenue and Farsley Celtic - especially after news that Mark Bett, born and raised in Wibsey, will be out for at least two months following knee surgery.

Kittrick added: “Tucky is a very good lad with a great attitude and we will miss him from the squad. But with him gone and Betsy injured, we have got Malvin Kamara in to fill the void,” continued Kittrick.

“Malvin has played something like 200-odd games in the Football League for teams like Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and MK Dons.

"He is also a full international for Sierra Leone and landed here because he moved to the Wakefield area. We are fortunate that he just wanted to play and is pretty local.

“He is only 26 and maybe wants to put himself in the shop window in case full-time clubs are on the lookout for someone who can play wide or in the centre of midfield.”
