Wibsey’s impressive form in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division comes under scrutiny on Saturday when they host reigning champions Bay Athletic.

The Westwood Park side head the table by four points from joint-second Albion Sports and Marsden, having been unbeaten in their last ten league games.

Wibsey, who lost 2-0 at Bay back in August, hold a six-point advantage over their visitors but have played an additional three games.

Both Campion and Albion Sports meet Huddersfield-based sides. The former could do their Bradford rivals a big favour by beating Marsden at Manningham Mills, while Albion make the trip close to the Lancashire border to take on Meltham Athletic.

Tyersal will have played two thirds of their league fixtures after their home game against struggling Ardsley Celtic.

The top four sides in Division One all have home advantage.

Unbeaten leaders Hunsworth start the second half of their season against relegation-threatened Hemsworth Miners Welfare, while Steeton hope to consolidate their second place with victory against Dudley Hill Rangers.

Salts, who have played the fewest games of all the promotion contenders, entertain Heckmondwike Town and Ventus/Yeadon Celtic take on struggling Tyersal Reserves at Dam Lane.
