It was a frustrating week for double-chasing Guiseley as they suffered a league defeat last weekend and a cup postponement in midweek but they should be on course for a win on Saturday.

The Lions are in the semi-finals of the West Riding County Cup and face minnows Barnoldswick Town at home.

They are also chasing promotion, via the play-offs if needs be, from the UniBond League Premier Division and face whipping boys Durham City at Netherfield this weekend.

Durham visit Guiseley looking for their first point of the season after 26 league games.

The home side are just into the play-off places but on goal difference only, with Kendal Town matching them for points with both having played 22 games.

The main problem facing manager Steve Kittrick is the amount of games still to fit in but he is determined that it will not derail their double bid.

The midweek cup-tie call off means Guiseley will now have to fill their only spare midweek with that semi-final.

If they reach the final, or should they have just one more postponement, they will have at least two spells of playing four games in eight days.

On the plus side, only striker Mark Bett is ruled out through injury.
