Thackley are in the middle of a rich vein of form so they should go into Saturday's Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division top-four clash at Rainworth MW with no fear.
The Reds have turned in two seven-star displays in their last four games.
In fact, their only blip since the weather relented was a 2-1 defeat at Maltby Main a fortnight ago. They have harvested 23 goals in their last five starts, while conceding only three.
Manager Dave Morgan said: "The lads have done well, the strikers are scoring and the defence looks solid - the only disappointment for me is that Tom Higman can’t always start in the centre of midfield because of his day job.
"This will be the big test though. Rainworth are second but we have put pressure on the teams above us by picking up points against teams below us.
"This is the first chance we have had to see if we really have improved and if we can compete with the likes of them."
