This weekend, six clubs will contest the last three quarter-final games in the Bradford & District FA Saturday Cup.

After having the games twice postponed in December and January due to the snow and frost, Bradford & District FA will be hoping it is third time lucky.

Eccleshill United and Wibsey managed to play their tie under floodlights last week, with Wibsey winning 4-2 after extra time.

Now Albion Sports, last season’s winners, having already qualified for the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup and the County Amateur Premier Division Cup semi-finals, will be seeking a treble when they host Campion at Myra Shay.

Salts and Crag Road United, who have each lifted the cup four times in the distant past, have home advantage in their ties.

Crag will entertain Fields Sports & Social, who now play in the West Yorkshire Association’s Premier Division, at Apperley Bridge, while Salts have Thackley as their opponents at Saltaire.

With all their contenders for the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division title playing in their own District cups, leaders Wibsey can open up a four-point advantage with victory from their visit to Premier Division strugglers Ardsley Celtic.

Tyersal, who beat Kirkburton 1-0 in November, will be seeking to complete the double and move into the top half of the table when they play the return fixture on Saturday.

Steeton, who moved above Salts in Division One last weekend with a 2-1 victory at Heckmondwike Town, could consolidate their position by taking all three points from their visit to Tyersal Reserves, and victories for both Dudley Hill Rangers, at bottom-placed Eastmoor, and Bronte Wanderers, who entertain Littletown at Marley Stadium, would move them level with Salts on points.
