Lee Bullock column: I’d have got decent odds from the bookies if I said we’d start the season against one ex-England manager and now be playing for another.
Considering what the new gaffer has done in his career, it's a good appointment. He’s done it at this level and the scenario is similar to when he went to Hull. The club are where they are but we should be bigger than that.
He’s already told us what he expects. We had a meeting after the first training session and he made it clear what he expects – and what will happen if we don’t do that.
He has been there and done it. He speaks, you listen, simple as that.
Everyone is aware that a good man in Stuart McCall left and the major reason was that we weren’t winning on the pitch.
I made my Bradford debut with a win at Accrington and hopefully that will rub off on the new gaffer on Saturday.
We definitely need three points but it’s a tough place to go. And we’re a big enough scalp in this league anyway without a new manager in as well.
Accrington are above us for a reason but it’s down to us to sort it out.
Our fans always travel there in big numbers and make it a good atmosphere. I’m sure there will be a great reception for the gaffer and we’ll have three sides of the ground.
It’s not been great for the last couple of months. Results haven’t helped anyone and there’s been no entertainment.
The fans haven’t been given anything to cheer.
Everyone wants to impress the new gaffer. It doesn’t matter whether you were in the team before or not. He will go on what he sees in training and in games.
I know I haven’t played that well since Christmas. It’s up to me to get going again and prove myself. That goes for all of us.
