Jamie Langley column: The quick turnaround is just what everybody needed this week.
After a loss like ours against St Helens on Sunday, the sooner you can get out there again, the better because then you’re not sitting on it too long.
Everyone’s determined to get out there against Cas tonight and quickly put things right. We were all disappointed and embarrassed with our performance against Saints.
It was an awful defeat so I can understand the fans’ frustrations. Everybody is entitled to their opinion so if the fans want to boo us, let them boo us, it’s their right.
We have to take that on the chin and not let it affect us too much. It’s one of those things. It’s unfortunate but you can understand why they felt that way.
You can’t let the negatives get to you too much. We know what’s going on and we have to deal with it.
The date has now been set for the start of my testimonial year and there will be a launch dinner on Saturday, March 6.
All the lads should be coming and the evening will include a question-and-answer session and a three-course meal, plus live music.
It’s being held in the Legends Suite at Odsal and tickets cost £40 plus VAT per head. You can email jamie.langley2010@hotmail.co.uk for more information.
On another note, I’ve got some serious competition on the column front this year, with Wagga writing for the official website.
All I’ll say is that we both have plenty of stories but everything you read in this column is the truth. You can’t trust Wagga because he exaggerates stories and makes things up.
Hopefully, I’ll see plenty of you at Odsal tomorrow night and we can get that first win under our belts. We’re determined to prove this team can reach it’s potential.
