Bradford Park Avenue will be looking for a tenth straight victory tomorrow night but they will have to be at their very best when they visit North Ferriby United.
Avenue’s run has taken them to the summit of the UniBond Premier Division and they have games in hand on the two clubs immediately below them.
Tomorrow will be a tough test as fourth-placed Ferriby are expected to finish in the play-off zone, but Bradford boss John Deacey could have players back to boost his squad.
He said: “We had a very good win at home to Ossett Town on Saturday and the players came through with no fresh injuries.
“I’m hoping Martin Drury will be back in contention and James Knowles – both of them were ruled out of the Ossett game.
“I took Amjad Iqbal, Simon Baldry and Rob O’Brien off in the second half but that was to rest them for tonight.
“Ferriby lost at the weekend but that just shows what a funny old game this is.
“They are strong at home and will make it difficult for us. I have players coming back and our confidence is very high, so it should be a good contest.”
Rivals Guiseley host Whitby Town looking for the victory that will lift them into the play-off places. Both sides enjoyed two-goal victories at the weekend.
Farsley Celtic face a stern test in the Blue Square North as they try to break a run of three straight defeats at Stalybridge in the battle of the Celtics.
Boss Neil Parsley said: “Let us get these five victories that I believe will be enough to keep us in the Blue Square North.”
In the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, Liversedge hope to build on Saturday’s win over Arnold Town at Parkgate. In Division One, Eccleshill United could go level on points with third-from-bottom Grimsby Bor-ough with another win at home to Askern Villa, having climbed off the foot of the table on Saturday.
