Brighouse Town are right in the middle of the promotion hunt following four straight wins in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Division One, the last of which was against then-leaders Leeds Carnegie.
Town's manager Mark Brier has been delighted with the form of his side since the hibernation caused by the big freeze.
The boss has also had to do some wheeling and dealing to maintain squad numbers and efficiency.
Brier said this week: “We lost a couple of lads to clubs at a higher level but we got new ones and the changes have not affected our momentum. In fact, we have gone on this little run of ours despite the things in the background.
“Mind you, when you are bringing in players of the quality of Luke Sherman and Danny Davidson, then you tend to expect that. Luke is not fully yet but he is an insurance policy for the hectic end of season we are heading for.
“Danny is a Brighouse lad and, in fact, we had conversations before the season regarding him joining us. At the time he was tempted by another offer from Ossett Town and decided to sign for them.
“The pair of them were on the bench for us last Saturday, along with Danny Toronczak and Andy Lockhart.
"That is a big strong bench of substitutes at this level and it shows the quality that remains in our squad, even though we have been raided by clubs up the ladder.”
