Leeds United have used their website to show pictures of the attacks on their players by Carlisle United fans after the penalty shoot-out at Brunton Park on Tuesday night.
The pictures, from Sky TV, provide evidence in support of Leeds manager Simon Grayson’s official complaint about the attacks which happened when Carlisle supporters invaded the pitch.
Although the Leeds players involved won’t be seeking charges against Carlisle fans, the club will forward the evidence to the Football Association and the Football League so they can consider what action, if any to take.
Also, the players and Leeds United have asked Cumbria police to identify the culprits shown in the pictures and consider what action should be taken against them.
Carlisle won the penalty shoot-out to reach the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at Wembley where they will meet Southampton on Sunday, March 28.
