Eccleshill United are still rock bottom of Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Division One, despite a win and a draw for new manager Mark Senior in his first two games in charge.
They were denied a chance to lift themselves out of the basement when their midweek fixture at fellow strugglers Yorkshire Amateur was postponed.
The Eagles host seventh-placed Appleby Frodingham on Saturday and, unlikely as it may seem, were the home side to win all of their seven games in hand on their visitors they would share the same points total.
