Thackley should be on cloud nine for their third meeting of the season with Dinnington Town tomorrow after a seven-star performance at the weekend.
Following a 7-0 victory over bottom club Brodsworth on Saturday, the Reds know another home win would take them to third in the Northern Counties East League Premier. They have no fresh injuries but will take nothing for granted against mid-table Dinnington, whom they beat 2-1 in the reverse fixture but Town got their revenge with a 2-0 win in the President’s Cup.
In the lower tier, Brighouse Town – who last week signed Danny Davidson and Liversedge forward Luke Sher-man – are at home to promotion rivals Leeds Carnegie.
Eccleshill United’s scheduled trip to Yorkshire Amateur tomorrow has been shelved because the Leeds outfit play Barnoldswick Town in the West Riding County Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.
