Guiseley will not have time to feel sorry for themselves following their FA Trophy exit to Tamworth as they have a huge game in the UniBond Premier Division to contend with.
The fifth-placed Lions, who have up to six games in hand on some promotion rivals, visit fourth-placed North Ferriby United on Saturday.
Spokesman Stuart Allen said: “It will be a tough game because Ferriby are doing really well at the moment. They always seem to do well against us and beat us 3-2 at Nethermoor in the reverse fixture.
“That could help as our manager (Steve Kittrick) will be using that ‘score to settle’ slant to get our lads hyped up for the game.
“When they beat us, Sam Denton scored two goals, so the curse of the former player haunted us.
“Sam hit two free kicks in five minutes and they both fairly whistled in.”
The only injury doubt from midweek is Adam Muller (knee) as Guiseley seek to eat into the five-point gap between themselves and Ferriby.
Allen said: “The physio expects Adam to be fit enough to be in the squad and Stuart Rudd and Simon Ainge will be available again after being cup-tied for the Tamworth game.”
