Three of Guiseley’s last four games have all been in cup competitions and Saturday sees them in knock-out action again as they await the visit of Redditch United in the first round of the FA Trophy.
Redditch are not enjoying the best of campaigns.
They are currently just outside the relegation zone in the Blue Square North, with only one point’s worth of breathing space.
Guiseley have slipped down the UniBond Premier Division of late but that has been due in the main to playing all their cup games and having two blank weekends in the league.
The Lions’ most recent signing will not be available for tomorrow’s clash.
Spokesman Stuart Allen said: “Simon Ainge’s loan has been turned into a permanent transfer now but he won’t be involved. We have checked and he is cup-tied. It is more than likely he played for Park Avenue in one of the earlier rounds.
“There shouldn’t be anyone else out though because injury-wise we are fine.”
Former Bantams defender Ainge joined Avenue at the start of this season but was not able to break into the starting line-up as a regular.
An injury to Anthony Lloyd prompted Lions boss Steve Kittrick to ask Avenue about an initial loan and Ainge has impressed since switching to Nethermoor.
The big defender was on the scoresheet in midweek when Guiseley lost 3-2 at home to North Ferriby in the league.
