Allerton B made a mockery of the Bradford Sunday Alliance League Division 2A table by taking control against higher-placed rivals Keighley Rangers and recorded a straightforward 5-1 win.

In Division 3A, Eccleshill Sunday struggled against Steel Bangle and only just got a 4-4 draw, thanks to a goal from captain Kyle Brearley, a 20-yard strike from man of the match Jaime Jude, a Mikey Dehal effort and a Michael Henderson header late in the game.

In Division 3B, Grass Greener United had a super brace from man of the match Paul Jarvis to thank for taking them up to third.

One of Jarvis’ goals was a 30-yard thunderbolt into the top corner, and he hit a second as they took control of the first half.

But in the second half, Nab Wood started to get back into it and, with 15 minutes left, they struck to leave a nervy 15 minutes for the home side, but Grass Greener held on. In the same division, Aire Athletic notched a stunning 6-2 victory over Shoulder of Mutton which moved Aire to sixth and dropped Shoulder to fourth.

In the West Riding County FA Sunday Trophy, Beldon Sports recovered from a goal down to beat Leeds side Eyrie 2-1, Dennis Boltwood and Jamie Metcalf netting.

Beldon picked up their game after half-time with a bullet header from Boltwood and a stunning overhead kick from outside the box by an in-form Metcalf, who these days scores a goal every game for Beldon.
