Leeds United have agreed a deal to sell Bradford-born Fabian Delph to Aston Villa.

The England Under-21 international midfielder only broke into the Leeds team last season when he played 50 games but took League One by storm and was voted the Football League young player of the year.

He has been the target for a number of clubs, including Spurs and Manchester City, but he had expressed a preference to join Villa and the clubs agreed a fee believed to be around £8m.

That could mean a cash windfall of around £960,000 to Bradford City, who are believed to have a sell-on clause of 12 per cent.
