December was a good month for Farsley Celtic but it ended with a narrow defeat at their nearest Blue Square North neighbours, so they will aim to reverse that result at home to Harrogate Town tomorrow.
Celts boss Neil Parsley was happy with the effort and commitment of his players in the 1-0 loss at Town on Boxing Day but disappointed that opportunities went begging.
He feels if they take their chances in tomorrow afternoon’s re-match, they will begin January with a celebration.
Parsley said: “I hope we will gain revenge. It’s a quick turnaround so it will certainly be fresh in everyone’s memory.
“They scored after about half an hour at their place but after that we finished the first half on top and began the second half very well.
"It all fizzled out for us because we became a bit too eager and lost a bit of shape and discipline.
“I expect we will all learn from that and we know it will be a tight game again but hope that we edge this one.
"If we take the chances then I’m sure we can get the points this time but we must retain our discipline, stick rigidly to our game-plan.”
There will be a change in midfield as former Bantam Craig Bentham has to serve a one-match ban for an accumulation of bookings.
His replacement will be Tom Penford, who also made the journey from Valley Parade to Throstle Nest in the close season.
Winger Rory Prendergast (groin) missed the first meeting through injury but is included in the squad tomorrow, as is Scott Broughton.
