Campion progressed in the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup after beating Featherstone Colliery of the West Yorkshire League 4-0 in their delayed third round tie.

Without any competitive football since November due to the bad weather, Campion showed no sign of being rusty as goals from Chris Graham (2), Gift Chimera and Andy Hawker ensured the Manningham side’s place in the fourth round at home to FC Headingley.

Keighley Shamrocks, who had to give up ground advantage to their hosts Robin Hood Athletic, bowed out of the cup with a 3-1 defeat, with Joe Jalil scoring Shamrocks’ consolation Tyersal Reserves made sure of their place in the last 16 of the West Riding County FA Challenge Trophy after beating Mount St Mary’s 6-0.

A double each from Jamie McEwen and Dominic Brennan plus strikes from Alan Morley and Arran Brennan set up a home tie against Harrogate League side Royal Dolphins.

Ovenden West Riding finally surrendered their 100 per start to their West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division season when visitors Kirk-burton grabbed a last-gasp equaliser to claim a 2-2 draw.

Brendan Aspinall, who had opened the scoring for Kirkburton in the first half, snatched victory away from Ovenden with the leveller in the third minute of added time.

Paul Hand and Steve Fullard had earlier scored for Ovenden to give them the advantage.

Storthes Hall also had victory taken away from them by visitors Golcar United.

Leading 2-0 with a goal in each half from Mathew Mulvihill, Hall were on target for victory until Kieran Ryan (2) and Richard Walsh scored in the last 20 minutes to give the visitors a 3-2 success.

Steeton moved to within a point of present Division One leader Albion Sports after beating strugglers Crag Road United 4-2.

John Butcher, Joynal Ali, Colin Horsfield and Sam Rooke were the men on the scoresheet for the Keighley outfit before Dario De-Vito and John Cornford netted Crag Road’s consolations.

West Horton climbed into second place in Division Two with a convincing 4-0 triumph over leaders Rawdon Old Boys.
