Baildon Trinity took their place in the last 16 of the West Riding County Sunday Cup with a hard-earned 1-0 win at home to Leeds Premier Division side Scholes.
Trinity had leading goal scorer Mick Hannan unavailable so used midfielder Simon Davidson as an emergency striker, with Ian Firth doing a good job as a makeshift winger.
Danny Milner put the hosts in front on 12 minutes with a well-taken goal which proved to be the winner.
Both teams had further chances but a sound display by the home defence, superbly led by centre half Graham Carney, held the visiting forwards at bay. When the back four was breached, Baildon goalkeeper Mathew Aveyard made at least three good saves.
Baildon entertain another Leeds and District side in the next round when Beech Celtic are the visitors.
Buttershaw White Star visit Thornhill Lees and Junction Thornbury host Heywood Irish Centre in their outstanding fourth round ties this Sunday.
West Riding County Sunday Cup fifth round draw: Crossgates Devon or Fforde Grene v Towngate, Thornhill Lees or Buttershaw WS v Junction Thornbury or Heywood IC, Belle Isle WMC v FC Boston, Seacroft WMC Athletic v Spring Gardens, Baildon Trinity v Beech Celtic, Campion PA v Crossflatts, Hare & Hounds Power v Red Star Harehills, HT Sports v Thornton.
