Neil Parsley feels if Farsley Celtic put as much into the back-to-back fixtures over neighbours Harrogate Town as they have in the last four games, they will bank points over the holidays.
The Celts have played only one game in the Blue Square North in December and that was the 4-0 victory over Stafford Rangers.
Their other fixtures were an FA Trophy win over Droylsden and two draws against Blue Square Premier leaders Burton Albion in the next round.
The second clash at Throstle Nest on Tuesday saw Nigel Clough’s side sneak through on penalties.
Boss Parsley said afterwards: “I was immensely proud of the lads and very proud of the spectators. The amount of positive feedback we had from the fans was very encouraging.
“The lads were all down because it was a game we could have won but we were lifted by the comments after the game.
“That was the second time this season we have gone out of a cup on penalties and both times it was to Conference sides.
“If we get anything like that calibre of performance in these next two games we should do well.
“I will be asking the lads for more of the same because we have been playing some very good football.”
Rory Prendergast misses the Boxing Day clash at Harrogate after suffering a recurrence of a groin problem but is hoping to make the reverse on New Year’s Day.
