Guiseley 3, Osset Town 4
Guiseley missed out by the odd strike in another goal-fest as, after Saturday’s 5-4 defeat in the UniBond League, they lost to Ossett Town in the West Riding County Cup.
Again the Lions squandered a lead – they were 3-0 up at half-time – but two former Bradford Park Avenue players came to Ossett’s rescue.
Guiseley seemed to have the tie wrapped up as Simeon Bambrook scored the first two goals and James Hanson had a 41st-minute penalty saved before tucking the rebound home.
Andy Lee started Town’s revival in the 56th minute and David Briggs scored from the spot when Town were awarded a penalty.
Tom Greaves netted the equaliser and also the winner in a nine-minute spell late on.
