Bradford Dudley Hill bowed out at the second stage of the BARLA National Cup in a narrow 16-12 defeat at Castleford Lock Lane.
Hill fell behind early doors to their hosts, who are a division lower than them in the National Conference competition.
But they struck back with a try from stand-off Danny Thomas to which scrum half Tony Williams added the extras for a 6-4 lead with a quarter of the game completed.
Lock Lane landed a penalty to level matters at the break but it was the Parry Laners who started the second stanza in great style with a touchdown from wingman Neil Wall, with Williams once again on target.
The see-saw encounter continued with an unconverted home score to set up a hectic finale that Lane snatched out of Hill’s grasp with six minutes left on the clock.
