Hall Road Rangers 3, Liversedge 2
Liversedge battled back from a two-goal deficit at Hall Road but still lost out in a five-goal Premier Division thriller to lose ground in the Kool Sport NCE League.
Former Doncaster Rovers defender and Guiseley manager Steve Richards’ hosts are now ninth in the table.
They moved above Sedge, who dropped to 12th on Saturday, but the points gap is just two and the Clayborners have a game in hand.
Martin Thacker put Rangers in front in the 13th minute and midway through the first half Chris Spinks added a second goal.
Sedge hit back with a quick-fire brace deep into the second half, with Brook Newton fouled in the area in the 70th minute and Luke Sherman netting from the spot.
Just a minute later Nicky Boshell fired in a shot from more than 30 yards but, as they sought a winner, Hall Road snatched the points through Paul Palmer.
