The last Saturday before Christmas brings a mixture of West Riding County FA Challenge Cup, Bradford & District FA Saturday Cup quarter-finals and league matches. Locally, three places in the semi-finals of the Bradford & District FA Saturday Cup are up for grabs.
Albion Sports will be hoping to book one of them when they entertain Eccleshill United at Myra Shay (1.30), Campion visit last season’s beaten finalists Bradford Park Avenue, while Crag Road United – who have Dudley Hill Rangers as their opponents at Apperley Bridge – will be hoping to avoid a third successive home defeat to their local rivals, having lost 3-0 in the league and 4-3 in the League Cup.
Holders Fields Sports & Social will be hoping to play their delayed round three tie at home to Bradford All Stars.
Both Tyersal, who take on bottom-placed Keighley Shamrocks, and Salts, who entertain Eastmoor, will be looking to convert home advantage into three points and close the gap on leaders Albion Sports at the top of Division One.
South Bradford, who were one of only a handful of sides to play last Saturday, will be looking to consolidate their mid-table position with victory over second-bottom Heckmondwike, who are their opponents at Holmewood.
With only four games possible in the Premier Division, Wibsey entertain Ardsley Celtic at Westwood Park and second-placed Bay Athletic could move back to top spot with victory over Huddersfield rivals Storthes Hall.
Steeton – who have had their twice-postponed West Riding County FA Challenge Cup game against Spinghead switched to their opponents’ ground – and Ovenden West Riding, who are at home to Knaresborough at Natty Lane, will be hoping to play their games at the third attempt.
The other twice-postponed ties, Albion Sports v Meltham Athletic, Campion v Featherstone Colliery and Keighley Shamrocks v Robin Hood Athletic, will all take place on Saturday, December 27, as will the Tyersal Reserves v Mount St Mary’s Challenge Trophy tie.
