Eccleshill United are the only one of the three local representatives in the Kool Sport NCE League Premier Division to have home advantage this weekend but they will not be expecting a big crowd.
The Eagles remain rock-bottom of the table with just three points from 18 games and their visitors are fourth-bottom Brodsworth Welfare.
Yet despite just three places separating the clubs, Brodsworth have a nine-point cushion over their hosts.
“It has been a difficult period for Ray (manager Price) because there have been no games due to the weather and not much in the way of training either,” said Eccleshill secretary Mark Holstead.
“He is the best man for the job though and he will sort the squad out. He is working hard to bring players in but because of our financial situation he is finding it hard at the moment.”
The highest-ranked of the Bradford trio going into the weekend are eighth-placed LIVERSEDGE and they face a tough trip to Hall Road Rangers, who are managed by former Guiseley boss Steve Richards.
All of the clubs have suffered several postponements over the last few weeks, with snow, deep frosts and then waterlogged pitches causing problems. However, Sedge did get a rare game in midweek when they progressed in the President’s Cup.
They had a more than decent workout as well because Shirebrook Town took them to extra time. Luke Sherman scored the winning goal, marking a welcome return to the scoresheet for the big forward.
If Sedge slip up at Hall Road then THACKLEY will have the opportunity to overhaul their neighbours. They trail Sedge by just a point but are short of match practice and fitness.
Some clubs – like Liversedge, who have managed to get their last two midweek games on – have been able to keep ticking over. Thackley have yet to play this month so they will be desperate to get a run-out at Armthorpe Welfare.
The Doncaster outfit are six places lower than Thackley but the table is so tight that they would join their visitors on 25 points with a win.
