FARSLEY Celtic were late for their HOME match last night because they were stuck on the motorway.
The Celts are currently based over 70 miles away at Buxton due to delayed work on a new 4G pitch at The Citadel (formerly known as Throstle’s Nest).
This was only their second of four “home” fixtures moved to the alternative venue.
But the National League North side had to delay the kick-off of their game against Chorley yesterday evening by half an hour after travel hold-ups.

The visitors tweeted that they had arrived in Derbyshire at 6.05pm for the scheduled 7.45 start.
Farsley, though, then put out a message to say they were still stuck in traffic on the way.
The game eventually kicked off at 8.15 with Chorley winning 1-0 in a tight game. Farsley’s misery was complete when they had Ryan Watson sent off for violent conduct in a late fracas.
Farsley Celtic Supporters’ Club have pledged to boycott games at The Tarmac Silverlands Stadium and club chairman Paul Barthorpe has come in for flak from fans.
