BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have been given tonight off unexpectedly.
Their Northern Premier League East Division derby at Ossett United was called off a couple of hours ago, with the overnight snow making the home side’s pitch unplayable.
Avenue will be somewhat disappointed, as a four-goal victory at second-bottom Ossett would have moved them back into the play-off places.
With tonight’s game off, Bradford will have to wait until Saturday until they return to action.
Craig Elliott’s men will arguably be facing their toughest test of the season this weekend, as they leave BD6 to play away against league leaders Cleethorpes Town.
Silsden are another high-flying side to fall foul of the current wintry weather.
They were due to have a break from Northern Counties East League Premier Division action tonight and were pencilled in to visit Horbury Town in the NCEL League Cup third round tonight.
But that cup tie has been snowed off too, and has now been re-arranged for next Tuesday instead.
That means the Cobbydalers will not play again until they host mid-table Rossington Main in the league on Saturday.
They are currently top of the table by two points, so will remain at the summit with a home win this weekend.
