FORMER Shipley Providence player Barry Thorp has died aged 73.
A vice-president and auditor of the now defunct Dales Council League club, Barry was a right-hand opening bat and medium-paced bowler.
He joined Shipley Providence in 1967 and played for them for a long spell, apart from two years at Clayton.
Barry was also a life-long Wolverhampton Wanderers supporter and season ticket-holder, missing very few matches at Molineux.
