Bradford Premier League side Jer Lane spent much of last season in title contention, and they have made a key off-season signing in the hope that they can last the pace this time.
Big-hitting batsman Farakh Hussain is back at Park Avenue following a season at Yeadon, where he captained their side.
Yeadon enjoyed a strong season in Division One, finishing fourth, but now Hussain wants to test himself in the top-flight again.
The burly opener had previously played for Jer Lane from 2020 to 2023, and helped them gain promotion to the Premier League in the 2022 season.
A few miles away, all sorts of player turnover is going on at Woodlands.
The Oakenshaw-based outfit were already in need of a new opener following Tim Jackson’s retirement, but three more players who have had a hand in their run of four successive top-flight titles between 2019 and 2023.
The Collins brothers, Kieran and Liam, have departed Albert Terrace and have signed for Townville, one of Woodlands’ biggest rivals in the top-flight.
Meanwhile, all-rounder Tom Clee is also remaining in the Premier Division, after being snapped up by Pudsey St Lawrence.
Woodlands are reported to be bringing in four new signings to replace that quartet of departures, but none of those incomings have been confirmed by the club just yet.
St Lawrence have not just signed Clee from a Bradford club either, as they have brought in Jordan Moore from Aire-Wharfe League side Thackley.
Pudsey Congs are looking to hit back after being relegated from the Premier Division, and have completed a double swoop for Hanging Heaton’s Nicholas Lindley and Doncaster Town’s Duncan Heath.
Cleckheaton narrowly avoided the drop, and they have celebrated remaining in the top flight by snapping up Sam Wilson from reigning ENCO Halifax League First Division champions.
They have also brought in Eitan Litvin from Warwickshire-based club Kenilworth Wardens.
Keighley have made the double signing of Sam Massheder and Gareth Lee, Alex Kennedy has joined Bankfoot from Morley, while Matthew Gibson has moved from Liversedge to Streethouse.
