BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have announced two midweek signings, as they continue to build a squad that they hope can challenge for promotion from the Northern Premier League East Division.
One of this is young midfielder Ted Lavelle, who returns to Horsfall after making 17 appearances for Avenue on loan from FC Halifax Town last season.
The Shaymen do not believe he is quite ready for their first team yet, and he comes to Avenue having already spent time at Lancaster City this term.
Lavelle will be joined in BD6 by his Halifax team-mate Jimiel Chikukwa, the talented 21-year-old forward bringing some real pace to the side.
As a youngster, he spent time in the academies of Leeds United and Watford, while he was also part of the Maidstone United team that won National League South in 2021/22.
The loan deals for both Lavelle and Chikukwa will initially last one month.
While Halifax have helped out Avenue with this double deal, the Bradford side are handing out their own favour to a neighbour.
Farsley Celtic are still unable to use The Citadel for their home games due to ongoing pitch renovations, so Avenue have allowed them to use Horsfall for their National League North home game with Spennymoor Town tomorrow night.
That game will kick off at 7:45pm in BD6.
