BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have sensationally brought Connor Dimaio back to the club, just a month after the club captain left Horsfall.
The midfielder departed to join Matlock Town, moving up from the Northern Premier League East Division to sign for the NPL Premier Division club.
Dimaio had been Avenue’s captain since the start of the season and the first name on their team sheet, including under current boss Craig Elliott, who had his say on the player’s initial exit.
But Matlock are not having a great season and are currently sat in the relegation zone, while it has not really worked out for Dimaio either since he joined last month.
He was named captain in his first game there, but not thereafter, and he was substituted off early in their next two matches.
Dimaio was dropped altogether earlier this month, for an FA Trophy defeat to Stourbridge and a league win at Hebburn Town.
And former club Avenue have given Dimaio the exit route he needed.
He seemed relieved to be back, judging by this post on social media:
Let’s get back to enjoying my football somewhere I shouldn’t have left ⚽️🟢⚪️ https://t.co/sZsMEjGRS4

Dimaio is in line to play for Avenue against Carlton Town at Horsfall tonight, just five weeks after captaining the BD6 outfit against Ashington, the final game of his initial spell.
If Avenue win tonight's game, they will go third in the league, but defeat could see them fall as low as eighth.
