BRADFORD Dragons begin the new basketball season in the KitKing Trophy this evening.

After a long off-season, they are ready to get going again in the premier cup competition played among National Basketball League teams.

Bradford reached the final last season, but were beaten at the final hurdle by a strong Derby Trailblazers side.

And remarkably, those two go head-to-head in Group 4 tonight, as Bradford host their East Midlands rivals at Calderdale College’s Inspire Centre.

Tip-off for the game is at 6:15pm, with fans getting to see some familiar faces and some new ones for the first time in 2024/25.

Rihards Sulcs, Andreas Lycoudis, Jordan Whelan and Micah Savery-Richards are all back in action for the Dragons, where they will be joined by a host of summer signings.

Kofi Josephs, Andre Gayle, Jevon Laidler and Oscar Baldwin have all joined the club, while youngster Julian Lemanski has made the step up to the first team from Bradford’s academy.
