TONG Park Esholt made it three wins out of four in the Aire-Wharfe League to haul themselves further clear of any Premier Division relegation woes, as they easily won a Bradford derby on Saturday.
Opponents Saltaire opted to bat at Esholt Lane, but could only muster 115, opener Haroon Mahmood top-scoring with 26 as new-ball bowler Shahid Mehmood bagged 7-52.
Jake Sali (47 not out) then batted through the TPE innings as they won by seven wickets in 24.3 overs.
Bolton Villas came close to a shock win at home to Division One leaders Addingham, who made 251-6 after being sent in.
Rain reduced Villas’ target to 227, and opener Nachiket Verlekar took them mighty close by scoring 115 off 95 deliveries, including 15 fours and five sixes.
He added 100 for the third wicket with Shezad Alam (32) but in the end, Villas finished on 222 to lose by four runs.
Cellar dwellers Calverley won only their third game of the season, but in some style, thrashing Bardsey by nine wickets.
Bingley Congs made 163 after being set in by Menston at Beckfoot Lane in Division Two, with skipper and keeper George Hicks leading the way with 52.
Josh Nutting chipped in with 50 not out in the middle order to ensure the hosts put up a defendable total.
However, Menston won by five wickets with six overs left, despite Will Tarren taking 3-23 in their reply.
Thackley trounced Skipton by 247 runs at Ainsbury Avenue, racking up an imposing 326 after being asked to bat, opener Ryan MacMillan scoring 90 and Muhammad Shoaib making 70.
Skipton were then castled for 79 in 21.1 overs, with Thackley only using two bowlers - Craig Wiseman (4-47) and Aftab Khan (6-26).
