In the Timothy Taylor’s Craven League, there was a shock in the Wynn Cup semis, as second-tier Bowling Baptist claimed a stunning four-wicket home win over top-flight Hepworth & Idle with a ball to spare at Manningham Mills Cricket Ground.

In a game reduced to 20 overs per side by bad weather on Sunday, visitors Hepworth & Idle posted 103-7 batting first, largely thanks to a fourth-wicket partnership of 57 between Jamie Topham (39) and Jonny Thompson (25).

Raees Ishtiaq took 3-23 and Muhammad Zulfiqar Khan claimed 2-16 from his four overs to keep the away side in check.

But Division Two side Bowling Baptist looked to be out of it at 68-6 in their reply, only for Muneeb Rashid (24 not out from 14 balls) and Salba Rehman (17no from 14 balls) to scramble them over the line.

They will face Division One leaders Gargrave in the final, who thrashed Bradley by nine wickets in the other last-four tie.

Skipton CI II are the first side through to the John Clayton Cup final, after they edged out Silsden II by one run in their semi.

Silsden threw the game away, collapsing from 125-2 to 152 all out, after Skipton CI had made 153 batting first.

The other semi-final on Sunday between Menston IV and Sutton II was rained off.

In the Aire-Wharfe League, Steeton are into the final of the Waddilove Cup after beating Otley by 11 runs.

If they beat Horsforth Hall Park, who thrashed Addingham in the other semi, the Summerhill Laners will have won the trophy for a third year in a row.
