Bradford (Park Avenue) have confirmed the signing of defensive midfielder Luke Hogg, who joins the club on a deal until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Hogg made 41 appearances last season, playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels in the Northern Premier League East Division, but he has now chosen to join their new divisional rivals in Avenue.

Hogg started out at Doncaster, spending nine years with Rovers before joining Guiseley at the age of 16.

While with Guiseley, Hogg was named Academy Player of the Season in 2017, which led to him signing first-team forms for the following campaign.

After leaving Nethermoor, Hogg went on to play for Ossett United, Whitby Town, Frickley Athletic, North Ferriby, and most recently, Stocksbridge

On the signing, delighted first team head coach Danny Whitaker said: “Luke is an excellent signing for us and we’re really pleased to get him on board.

“He’s got valuable experience of playing at this level and above.

“Luke’s a combative midfielder who can add another dimension to the team, but he’s also someone who is very comfortable on the ball.”

Avenue’s sporting director Thomas McStravick added: “We are delighted to welcome Luke on board. He’s another player who is hungry and wants success.

“Luke is here for the right reasons and will compliment how we want to play.

“He’s someone who very much plays with his heart on his sleeve too.”

McStravick added: “We’re obviously not finished with our recruitment yet.

“We are continuing to explore the market as we look to build a strong and competitive team to excite our supporters for next season.”
