It is proving to be a disappointing season for Bradford Dudley Hill and Wibsey Warriors in the Yorkshire Men’s League.

The latter remain bottom of the Division One table, after losing their sixth game in six this season.

But they showed real signs of promise at home to leaders Siddal Academy, only to eventually get beaten 20-16.

Dudley Hill had been gunning for promotion, but they have stumbled over the last few weeks, and a surprising 14-6 defeat at lowly Ossett Trinity Tigers dropped them down to fifth in the eight-team table, with four defeats in eight games.

Up in the YML Premier Division, Keighley Albion slipped to second-bottom, but put up a great fight at home to leaders Stanley Rangers, eventually only losing 24-18.

Birkenshaw Blue Dogs have probably been placed too high in the pyramid, and they fell to a ninth Division Two defeat in nine, as Moldgreen hammered them 70-6.

After an awful start to the season, Wyke are suddenly just two points off the top three in Division Three, Saturday seeing them handed a walkover win over York Acorn.

Keighley Albion Academy slipped to fifth in the Division Six table, battling hard against leaders Moortown Mambas but losing 24-12.

In the National Conference League Alliance Division, leaders West Bowling Academy look set to win the title after earning a potentially decisive 32-24 win over second-placed Stanningley.

Their senior team endured a tough afternoon at top of the table Siddal in the National Conference League Premier Division.

Bowling remain bottom after losing 40-18 at the leaders, and are still four points from safety.

In Division One, Stanningley suffered an ugly 13-4 defeat at fellow strugglers Skirlaugh to slide closer to relegation danger.

Finally, in Division Three, Drighlington kept up their promotion chances with a good 38-28 win at mid-table Leigh East.
