BRADFORD fighter Alex Wilson produced one of the knockouts of the year on a big night of bareknuckle boxing.
Wilson admitted he had a point to prove on his return to promoters BKB TM in front of a sell-out crowd of 3,000 at the O2 Arena on June 1.
He had lost his debut in 2021 and was determined to put on a better show against Paul Wardingham.
Wardingham was making his bareknuckle boxing debut and took the fight to Wilson.
However, the Bradford boxer was cool under pressure and smartly escaped a corner and slammed a right off Wardingham’s jaw to put him down.
The Bradford man’s opponent returned to his feet and started the second round on the front foot, but Wilson picked him off with a couple of powerful left-hand strikes and then found a stunning finish.
He drove a right through his opponent's guard to put him down, and the referee waved the fight off instantly.
